SAMUEL FLÜCKIGER

Born in 1982, Samuel Flueckiger grew up in Basel, Switzerland. After graduating in Sociology and Cinema Studies from the University of Zurich, he attended professional programs in producing and screenwriting at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Theatre, Film, and Television.

Samuel Flueckiger’s award-winning short films TERMINAL (2013), NIGHTLIGHT (2015), and WINDOWLESS (2019) screened at various renowned festivals around the world and were sold to multiple broadcasters, including CBC (Canada) and SRF (Switzerland). His latest short UNSER KIND (OUR CHILD) won the «Best of Fest» Award at the 28th LA Shorts and has qualified for the 97th Academy Awards.

Samuel is an award winning filmmaker based in Switzerland. His focus lies on local stories with global relevance and impact.
